About Us
The Pregnancy Center opened in March of 1986. Since that time, approximately 1200 women take advantage of our services each year. The Center is located in the Bluff Professional Building in the heart of Clinton, Iowa. We provide free pregnancy tests and limited obstetrical ultrasounds to those who have a positive test result. We also offer lay counseling and information on sexual health, alternatives to abortion, healthy pregnancy, parenting and post-abortion counseling. The Smart Women program offers education classes which earn the client points to use to shop in our on-site Boutique filled with diapers, formula, food, clothing and personal items for the mother. Medical, adoption and social referrals are offered as needed.
The Pregnancy Center is affiliated with Heartbeat International (Association for Pregnancy Resource Providers), NIFLA (National Institute of Family and Life Advocates), and CareNet (Association for Pregnancy Resource Providers). They provide us with valuable information that equips us to serve and meet the needs of our clients.
